Designing a good sales website can be the difference between losing visitors and making a sale. You have 10 seconds to grab the visitor's attention and convince them to stay. This is how long it takes the average user to decide whether to continue reading or continue. Make your website easy to use
You need to plan your website carefully to ensure that your products actually sell.

• Create a catchy headline that tells visitors the benefits of staying. There must be a clear and compelling advantage. In other words, you need to know what your users will learn and what information you will provide. 

• Keep your website clean and simple. It should be easy on the eyes with some basic colors and readable fonts. The font should be very dark and contrast strongly with the light background. Don't use templates and limit the use of images. 

• Use more sales copy and fewer images. As Derek Gehl of says, "Images should be used strategically to support your sales copy, not the other way around."

• Ease of navigation. It should be at the top or left of the page. Every time you ask a visitor to click, you lose a few, so the fewer clicks it takes to buy your product, the better. 

• Make the selling process quick and easy. Do not use hidden links. If you want users to buy from you, you need to explain how they can do so.

Building trust with customers
Your website should exude credibility and professionalism. Your visitors won't buy if they don't trust you. There are two main ways to increase customer trust in you.

1. Share your expertise. Tell them why you can help them. Don't just list links, talk to them. Share your experience and describe how this product helped you. Show that there are real people behind your website.

2. Use reviews from people who have actually used your product.
Video, audio and written testimonials, along with customer photos, are proven tools for building customer trust. "Make sure your testimonials include specific, measurable results people are getting with your product," suggests Gel.

Build customer loyalty
Sharing relevant and interesting information can be a great sales pitch. Tell customers what your product is, where it comes from, and how they can use it in innovative ways. If you sell camping gear, write articles about great camping spots or offer tips for staying safe in the woods. Give people a reason to come back to your site. Maybe they'll buy something while they're there. By educating your customers, you can create a sense of loyalty that makes them want to buy from you and not your competitors.
